Don't Get Scammed: guide to scams on the net.

So, dating sites, more specifically 'adult dating' sites. To be honest they're not as bad as rich quick schemes or online casino strategies! But after some research and talking to others we've found that they can be as fustrating. Especially when you take into account that generally those who want to join just want a bit a fun (and perhaps eventually something more).

They all (99% of them atleast) say you can join for free and that is true enough. You give your details fill in a little blurb about youself (likes dislikes etc) hair colour, eye colour, height and so on until you've created a profile. Now you can start searching for your perfect match right? wrong! You'll soon find that other than being able to search and view profiles you won't be able to do anything else! You can't message them, add them or contact them in any way (which i assume is the point of it all) until you pay. This payment is usually a monthly fee and it's not our definition of cheap!

Also and this is important if you are going to subscribe don't suscribe to more than one. We found that there are several sites that seem to have exactly the same set up with the same profile pictures of the same ladies and gents, so you would not be meeting anyone new on a few of these other sites it seems!! That to us is on the border of being a scam so just be carefull!


However, in our effort to be thorough we have found one site in particular that may cost you a lot of money if you get dragged into. It is a premium adult text site only available to those in the UK that seems to have caused a stir of complaints 'ukquickies.com'. (if we find any international equivilents you'll be the first to know, and we're sure there are some!) Now it claims on the main page that you COULD meet these 'real girls' but all you have to do is to use their text service to get to know one another and the rest is up to you. You are then assured that the ladies are genuine and that it is not an automated service, This we believe to be true, However, after looking at complaints against the site and researching we found that ALMOST EVERY woman that can be contacted (including those that specifically say on their profile that they want to meet up) will not be willing to meet up under any circumstances and will only stick to the service that will cost you £2.00 per reply not including same charge for picture messages.

Now, the website has a disclaimer stressing that it doesn't guarantee any encounters between yourself or the female advertisers but the fact that it claims you may have even the slightest of chances IS UNTRUE. Many people over the uk have tried and it has cost them dearly and to no avail! This is a dangerous site in terms of cost (because you won't succeed the first time you'll try and try again with the same result).
